“ My favorite parts of my most recent Unleashed Adventure included the evening & sunrise safaris with no one else around. I loved driving around in the pitch dark after we were all fed & happy watching the lions try to get there dinner! Just giddy with good wine and adventure; a heightened sense of both fear and excitement. But seeing the two male lions cross the plains in the morning will be an image never to be forgotten. The entire jeep hushed, no one spoke. The lion was part of the land as its body blended in with the dried up grasses so in need of a good rain. You knew he was there but couldn’t see him immediately. As he sauntered along, every animal including us just stood at attention. The lighting was magical as if it were ordered. This is burned into my memory. The most exciting part was chasing down elephants on our walking tour in the narrow river bed with its thick brush. Actually finding really fresh poop and being only 10 minutes behind. Also, having hippos walk through our camp in the Mara late at night.
