DIANE TERRY
Diane founded Unleashed Adventures in the 90s after a decade
spent working as a travel writer and photographer. A Jersey
girl with the maiden name “Rover” she was indeed
“Born to Run”. Her travels have taken her all over
the world and back. She believes strongly in the rewards of
womens-only travel and the need for balance in life, especially
when it comes to family. Diane, a mother of three daughters
herself, feels most alive when she’s off adventuring in
some far-flung remote destination. “As nurturers, women
usually fall short when it comes to their own needs which most
often go unchecked and result in all sorts of negative consequences.
When we take a break from our routines and push ourselves physically
and mentally, we most often discover a new source of strength
and clarity. It’s a win-win for family and self.”
An AIDS activist who loves cooking, vegetable gardening and
water skiing, Diane is also a passionate photographer whose
work has been widely exhibited and published.
JENNY ALBAN-DAVIES
Jenny Alban-Davies is a world traveler who brings her own version
of “unleashed” to the Unleashed Adventure partnership.
Born in South America, her life spans many continents in business
and personal experience; this has afforded her a wealth of knowledge
of international cultures and customs. Jenny grew up in Uruguay,
but realized at a young age that she wanted to explore far beyond
the small country she called home. Her desire to immerse herself
in diverse cultures and traditions, led her to live in London,
the Bahamas, and Panama, before settling in the U.S. She now
enjoys introducing other women to the pleasures of adventure
travel to remote areas around the world. An avid sportswoman,
her hobbies include tennis, paddle tennis, snow shoeing, white
water rafting and the beginnings of golf. The daredevil in her
has taken her to bungee jumping in Africa, rock climbing in
Patagonia, scuba diving in Fiji, sky diving in Argentina, trekking
in Europe and surfing in Easter Island. Back home in New York
when not riding her Harley, Jenny spends time with her busband
and two married daughters and grandaughter.
